The Sheffield Kidney Institute (SKI)

The SKI is one of the largest kidney units in the UK and Europe with a longstanding tradition of excellence in education and research as well as being a major tertiary referral centre for the South Yorkshire and North Trent regions.

The Sheffield Kidney Institute has made a significant contribution to renal research for more than 25 years with a program of both clinical and basic science research and a strong track-record of post-graduate degrees. The research program is supported by the sister charity the Sheffield Kidney Research Foundation and an active patient group (Sheffield Area Kidney Patients Association).

Opportunities for research exist within the Academic Nephrology Unit which is a centre of excellence for both basic science and clinical research.
