The Sheffield Kidney Institute, situated at the Northern General site of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, offers Diploma and Masters (MMedSci) courses in Nephrology.
The Diploma course is a full-time taught course running for 9 months through the academic year. Final examination and recommendation of the award of the Diploma to successful candidates takes place late in May or early in June. Students electing to pursue the Masters Degree in Nephrology (MMedSci) option will complete their Diploma studies first before undertaking a Masters project. Students are allocated projects from a wide range of clinical topics. Options are available for those who would like to undertake laboratory-based research projects. The Awards for Masters Degree will be recommended in September of the academic year.
